League table
- A term used to refer to a score card or list maintained by several different financial information services that keeps track of participation in syndicated lending and securities underwriting by commercial and investment banks. A bank gets credit in a league table for arranging a financing or for being awarded certain other titles in the financing. A high standing in a league table for a particular type of transaction is used by the bank in marketing itself to customers who may be interested in the level of expertise a bank may have.
